Cancellations & Refunds

At Haines CPR, we strive to provide flexible scheduling while ensuring our courses remain available to all participants. Because class sizes are limited and instructor time, course materials, and administrative resources are committed upon registration, the following policy applies to all course registrations.

Cancellation Requests

ALL cancellation requests must be submitted in writing by email to haines.cpr@gmail.com with the subject line: CANCELLATION/REFUND REQUEST.

Within 24 Hours of Payment

Individual cancellation requests received within 24 hours of payment may be eligible for a refund, less a 10% processing and administrative fee to cover non-refundable payment processing, transaction, and registration costs. If an American Red Cross course voucher has already been issued, the registration is non-refundable and the refund request will be denied, regardless of whether the request is submitted within the initial 24-hour period.

After 24 Hours of Payment

Individual Trainings

  • Cancellation requests made after the initial 24-hour period are subject to a $10 cancellation fee and may be approved only if an American Red Cross course voucher has not been issued.
  • Once a course voucher has been issued, online course access has been provided, or enrollment has been processed through the American Red Cross Learning Center, the registration becomes a non-refundable educational service.
  • Individual registration for professional development courses reserves a limited training seat.
  • Cancellations requested more than 24 hours after payment are not eligible for a refund.

Group Trainings

  • American Red Cross Trainings

  • Payment: Full payment (100%) is required for each participant at the time of registration or booking to reserve and confirm a group CPR training session.
  • Blended-Learning Group Cancellations: Once an American Red Cross course voucher has been issued to a participant, that participant's registration becomes a non-refundable educational service, and the amount paid for that registration is non-refundable, regardless of when the organization or group cancels the scheduled training.
  • Group Cancellation Schedule: The Group Cancellation Schedule applies to all American Red Cross group trainings, including Instructor-Led courses and Blended Learning courses for which course vouchers have not yet been issued.
  • Group Professional Development Training

  • Payment: Full payment (100%) is required at the time of registration or booking to reserve and confirm a group professional development training session.
  • Group Cancellations: If the organization or group cancels the entire scheduled training session, refunds will be provided according to the Group Cancellation schedule.

Group Cancellation Schedule

If the organization or group cancels the entire scheduled training session, refunds will be provided according to the following schedule:

  • 14 or more days before the scheduled training: 75% of the total amount paid will be refunded.
  • 7–13 days before the scheduled training: 50% of the total amount paid will be refunded.
  • Less than 7 days before the scheduled training: No refund will be provided.

Cancellation deadlines are calculated based on the scheduled start date and time of the training.

Individual participant cancellations, substitutions, rescheduling requests, and no-shows are subject to the applicable Haines CPR cancellation and refund policies.

Cancellation deadlines are calculated based on the scheduled start date and time of the training.

Group Rescheduling

A one-time rescheduling of a group American Red Cross or Professional Development training session may be requested and is subject to Haines CPR's availability. Payments made for the original training date will be transferred to the rescheduled training date. If the rescheduled training is subsequently cancelled by the organization or group, no refund will be provided, regardless of the amount of notice given.

No Refunds

Refunds will not be issued if:

  • You fail to attend your scheduled class.
  • You fail to complete the required online portion of a Blended Learning course before your skills session.
  • You have accessed or completed any American Red Cross online learning modules.
  • Your American Red Cross course shows an "In Progress" or "Completed" status.
  • You have attended any portion of the in-person training.
  • You do not successfully complete all certification requirements.
  • You leave class early or do not fully participate in the required training.
  • You fail to provide proof of online course completion before attending a Blended Learning skills session.

Individual Rescheduling

If you are unable to attend your scheduled class:

  • Notify Haines CPR at least 24 hours before your scheduled training.
  • Participants may request a one-time reschedule, subject to instructor availability.
  • Requests made with less than 24 hours' notice may be considered at the sole discretion of Haines CPR and may require documentation of the circumstances.

Failure to provide the required notice, failure to reschedule, or failure to attend the rescheduled training may result in forfeiture of all course fees.

Blended-Learning Courses

For American Red Cross Blended-Learning courses:

  • The online learning portion must be completed before attending the in-person skills session.
  • Participants who arrive without completing the required online coursework will not be permitted to participate and will forfeit their registration fees.

Refund Processing

Approved refunds will be issued to the original method of payment whenever possible.

Cancellation by Haines CPR

If Haines CPR must cancel a scheduled training, participants or organizations will be offered the opportunity to transfer their registration and all amounts paid to a mutually agreeable rescheduled training date at no additional charge.

American Red Cross Blended Learning Courses

If a course voucher has not been issued and a mutually agreeable rescheduled date cannot be arranged, 100% of the amount paid will be refunded. If a course voucher has already been issued and a mutually agreeable rescheduled date cannot be arranged, 50% of the amount paid will be refunded. The remaining 50% is non-refundable due to the online course access, course materials, and associated costs already provided or incurred.

American Red Cross Instructor-Led Courses and Professional Development Training

If a mutually agreeable rescheduled date cannot be arranged, 100% of the amount paid will be refunded.

No cancellation, processing, or administrative fee will be deducted from refunds resulting from a cancellation initiated by Haines CPR.

Force Majeure

Haines CPR shall not be liable for any delay, postponement, rescheduling, cancellation, or inability to provide services resulting from events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather, natural disasters, public health emergencies, pandemics, government actions, utility outages, facility closures, labor disputes, transportation disruptions, or any other event beyond the reasonable control of Haines CPR. In such circumstances, Haines CPR will make reasonable efforts to reschedule the affected training. If a mutually agreeable rescheduled date cannot be arranged, any applicable refund will be handled in accordance with the Cancellation by Haines CPR provisions of this policy. Haines CPR shall not be considered in breach of these Terms and Conditions as a result of any such event.
